I did enjoy the writing of this book. There were large allusions to Greek fables which was fun to watch unfold. It was also interesting to see the workings of a psychologically unwell patient and her psychotherapist. However, it was very predictable and I figured out the big twist on page one. Recommended for people who enjoyed The Fury, or authors like Frieda McFadden and Lisa Jewell.

I loved this book. You go through all the emotions reading it. It was a great depiction of someone hitting rock bottom and pulling themself back up. Read it because it was heavily mentioned in Gilmore Girls: A Year in a life. Reccomended for anyone struggling with grief, wanting to do some major thru hiking but.. can't and anyone, who like me, is a big GG fan and wants to know how it was so connected to AYITL.

I lobe looks about books. This is one that has a magical library element and a background mystery that takes the main characters to France and back on the hunt for answers. There are magical qualities but rooted in a contemporary world.

Would recommend if you liked The Librarian made for TV movies and books like Midnight Library.

    Hello Stranger by Katherine Center

  • Katherine Center is a hit or miss author for me. Hello Stranger, for me, was a miss. While the premise of a portrait artist having a brain injury that gives her temporary face blindness is unique, the application of her face blindness was inconsistent. She couldn’t see faces… but she saw someone quirk an eyebrow or smirk at her. The "twist" of her *Spoiler Alert* she confesses that she fell madly in love with two people (who were both the same person unbeknownst to her) but one feels more like lust with instant attraction and the other is potentially actual love because she actually spends time with him.

Would be good for people who like Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood or Abbey Jimenez novels.
