This book tells the amazing life of Thomas Jefferson as told through the point of view of his daughter. The story spans the first 50 years of America's History and depicts life from living through several revolutions. Patsy, the main character is sorting through letters after her father's passing that progresses the story line. The book is well researched and shows another side to the basic story that we all know. Would recommend for people who like early American History, and anyone who loved Hamilton.

I enjoyed this book as a whole, but found that sometimes it was hard to keep reading and it wasn’t very fast paced for me. The entire time, the feminist inside me was screaming, but this is just a true depiction of what life was like near the birth of our country. Overall I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
